    Everyone knows where they were when the Global Mutagenic Emergency began. You could've been at home or in space; it hardly would've mattered by the end of that horrible week. Human one day, then two days of brutal illness later, some half-animal...thing. No exceptions, not even the dead.

     Four years of worldwide chaos later, and life has begun to return to normal, or rather, some new version of it. For Luke and Dominic, now a Yellow-Billed Magpie and a Raven, those four years have been long, their lives stuck on hold. Both are eager for a change.

     As first responders, the suffering they have witnessed since the GME would've been enough for a lifetime. As lovers, the strain and solace have made their relationship deeper and more complicated than either is willing to admit. 

     With new lives waiting for them across the continent, the pair is only two weeks away from moving. Two weeks away from getting their lives back.

     Yet, forces at work have other plans, and the GME was just the beginning. The dead are coming back.

     "Spruce" is a furry horror visual novel currently in very early development. Set in the fictional city of Cheno, Alaska, two boyfriends must fight to survive as the same forces that altered the world now careen towards destroying it.
